|District Hockey Information|
Cherry Creek Hockey will be having our annual Parent/Player Fall and CHSAA Hockey meeting on July 16th at 5:00pm at Family Sports Center. The meeting will follow our Cherry Creek Midget ID Camp at Family Sports Center.
Information will be provided on all Fall and CHSAA Cherry Creek teams both Varsity and Junior Varsity.
|WINTER SPORTS BEGIN NOVEMBER 12TH|
Students who would like to try out for a Winter Sport must turn in a physical and the $90 fee to the Athletics Office and also complete the online athletic registration before November 11th or they will not be allowed to tryout. Online athletic registration tab can be found on the right side of the athletics page on the EHS school website.

The Eaglecrest Raptor Softball team has advanced to the 5A State Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year after defeating Loveland last Saturday. The Raptors will play Rocky Mountain at 10:00 AM Friday at Aurora Sports Park.
|Role of Parents in High School Athletics|
Please join Vince Orlando, Athletic Director at Eaglecrest HS and one of the nation’s foremost authorities on Performance Psychology - Dr. Rick Perea for “The Role of Parents in High School Athletics” this Wednesday August 19th at 6:30 PM in the Lecture Center. The presentation will include a discussion on how parents play an important role in the performance of their student-athletes along with the psychology of the adolescent athlete. |RAPTOR SAS (Speed/Agility/Strength) Camp (June 8-July 31)|
SAS camp instructed by the EHS coaching staff is designed to improve strength, speed and overall athleticism. This is done by teaching proper techniques in explosive Olympic style weight training, stability and balance training, partnered with a variety of athletic movements designed for all sports.
Required dress is t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes. For registration, see the attached summer camp registration form.

|AVDILI AND ROSS BROTHERS SELECTED TO ALL-STATE HOOPS TEAM|
Sr. Blend Avdili and Soph. Colbey Ross were named to CHSAA 5A All-State 2nd team after helping the Raptors to their second Final Four appearance in three years. Sr. Elijah Ross capped his career with his selection to the CHSAA All-State 3rd team.

After defeating Legend in the Great 8, The Raptors will face ThunderRidge on Friday in the Final Four at the Coors Event Center on the campus of CU. The game is a scheduled 7:00 PM start. The EHS Parent/Fan section is allocated for Sections #7 and #8. Spectator entrance will be the Upper Northwest Entrance.

|BOYS HOOPS SEEDED #1 IN 5A STATE PLAYOFFS|
The Raptor Basketball team received a #1 seed and a 1st Round bye as the brackets were released on Sunday afternoon. EHS will host the winner of Heritage/Aurora Central on Saturday evening in a 2nd Round game.

|SOFTBALL'S ROMERO COMMITS TO SYRACUSE|
Raptor junior Alexa Romero has verbally committed to play softball at Syracuse University.
Romero, who plays first base and pitcher, hit .358 with five doubles and three home runs, and had a 7-6 record with a 3.36 ERA and 85 strikeouts to help the Raptors to a 15-9 record. Romero was a first team Centennial League selection.
|ROSS AND ANDERSON SELECTED TO ALL-STATE FOOTBALL TEAM|
Raptor WR Peter Anderson and QB Elijah Ross were selected to the CHSAA 5A Football All-State 1st Team. Anderson had a State best 1416 yd and 16 TD's while Ross accounted for 3,825 yards of total offense and 41 TD's on the year.

Eaglecrest's Peter Anderson has been selected to the 2014 All-Colorado team at WR. He enjoyed a fantstic senior season with a State best 1416 yds and 16 TD's.

|RAPTORS TO HOST VOLLEYBALL REGIONAL|
The Raptors received the #1 overall seed and will host a 5A Regional on Saturday November 1st. Liberty HS and ThunderRidge HS are the other teams in the regional. EHS will face Liberty in the opening match at 9:00 AM and then ThunderRidge at approximately 12:00 PM. Tickets per CHSAA are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students w/ID.

Eaglecrest will face Legacy in the 1st Round of the 5A playoffs Friday October31st at 1st Bank Field in Westminster. Game time is 7:00 PM
|JORDYN POULTER NAMED TO THE MAXPREPS NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR WATCH LIST|
Eaglecrest setter Jordyn Poulter was one of 18 players named to the MaxPreps National Volleyball Player of the Year watch list. “Jordyn has made it possible for this team to be successful,” Eaglecrest coach Tanya Bond said to MaxPreps. “She takes our bad passes and makes them not only hittable but scorable for our hitters.”
Eaglecrest is 14-4 on the year.
|EAGLECREST ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL 2014 HALL OF FAME CLASS|
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Eaglecrest High School is set to debut an Athletic and Activities Hall of Fame to remember its rich history.
The inaugural class, as selected from a pool of nominees by a panel of school administrators, representatives of Cherry Creek School District, the community and the media, is made up of J.J. Billingsley, Damian Brown, Ben Baum, Tara Mendozza (DeCrescentis) and Stacey Jennings.
Eaglecrest’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Dec. 11 at Blackstone Country Club following a dinner and cocktail hour.

|VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS MULLEN TO CLINCH LEAGUE TITLE|
After a slow start, the Raptors rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Mullen in five to clinch the Centennial League title. EHS started out fast in Game 5 jumping out to an 11-3 lead before closing out the match. The Raptors conclude the regular season next week with non-league contests v. Regis Jesuit and Denver East.
|SOFTBALL ADVANCES TO STATE TOURNAMENT FOR 3RD STRAIGHT YEAR|
The Raptor Softball team advanced to the State tournament winning the deciding game 2-0 over Chatfield behind a CG shutout from Lexi Romero. EHS also defeated Chatfield earlier in the day 14-1 before losing to Fossil Ridge. Kailey Wilson had a grand slam in the morning win over Chatfield.
|VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS CHEROKEE TRAIL FOR BIG LEAGUE WIN|
The Raptor Volleyball team came up with a huge effort defeating Cherokee Trail 3-0 to stay unbeaten in league play and maintain a strangehold on first place. THe blocking of Jordyn Poulter, Kailee Maricle, and Dez Zeigler keyed the win.
