Principal's Message

Dear Raptor Community, 

I am both thrilled and humbled to introduce myself as the new principal of Eaglecrest High School. It is no secret that the Raptor Community is built on a longstanding tradition of excellence that prepares every student for their future, and I am looking forward to working with each of you as we continue to build a student-centered space that allows every student to feel seen, heard, and championed.

As I enter my 17th year in education, I will draw on my wide range of experiences that have helped me prepare for this role. I have served as a Social Studies teacher, cross country/track coach, dean, and high school administrator; each one of these roles will support me as we work together to shape our collective vision for the future of Eaglecrest. 

Prior to my work as an educator, I was a loyal Xavier University Musketeer where I competed as a college athlete in cross country/track while completing my undergraduate degree in History. Later, I became a Cardinal with Lamar University where I earned my master’s degree in educational administration. Besides my passion for education, you can always find me willing to discuss March Madness or talking up the newest music out of my hometown of Nashville with anyone interested!  Beyond the walls of a school building, I am a proud husband and a father of two elementary-age children. Watching them learn and grow has given me an even stronger understanding of the impact a positive school climate has on their sense of self. This perspective drives me to create a similar environment for your students at Eaglecrest.  

I have always prided myself on long term commitment to my role and community.  Through this lens, I understand the gravity of transition in front of our Eaglecrest community.  I am committed to continuing the sense of community that defines being a Raptor. Students will continue to experience a rigorous educational environment and the opportunity to engage in challenging coursework that prepares them for their post-secondary pathways. Our teachers will continue their strong instructional practices and will be encouraged to develop their leadership so that they can innovate and push the Raptor Community to new heights.  

Communication and collaboration will be critical in the coming months. It is my priority to be present and visible, so that I can learn from all of you. Having spent over a decade at Overland High School, I understand the impact of knowing someone’s name and recognizing them for who they are. While it will take time to do the same at Eaglecrest, you will find me in the hallways, at school events, community meetings, and in our classrooms building relationships with all of you.  

I am excited to embark on this journey with the Raptor Community and to learn more about the individuals that contribute to the excellence of Eaglecrest.
