Raptors Read!

Our Raptors Read! program allows all students—regardless of grade level or course—to select a text that best matches their reading preferences and reading levels to enjoy over the summer. When students return to Eaglecrest in August, they will have an opportunity to discuss their book with their peers.

If students already have a book they want to read, that’s great! If not, we have curated a list of suggested titles.. To find out more about this program and to access the list of books, please watch the video below and visit the Raptors Read! page.

To encourage students, staff, and faculty to expand their reading options, we conduct the Raptor Reading Challenge BINGO every year. The BINGO sheet inspires people to read books from different genres. To find out more about this challenge, visit the Raptor Reading Challenge site.

Eaglecrest Library Earns ALA Recognition

Eaglecrest High School, located in Centennial, Colo., is the American Association of School Librarians' (AASL) 2014 National School Library Program of the Year (NSLPY) Award recipient. Sponsored by the Follett Corporation, the NSLPY annually recognizes a school library program that meets the needs of the changing school and library environment and is fully integrated into the school's curriculum. The recipient receives an obelisk – the symbol of school library excellence – and $10,000 toward its school library program.
