How do I log into Noodle Tools?

• Login to myCherryCreek using your PowerSchool login
• Click on the myLibrary tab at the bottom right of your screen
• Click on the NoodleTools tile

How do I create an account?

• Choose the option to "Create a new account"
• Choose "I am a student or library patron"
• Hit the "Submit" button
• Choose Eaglecrest from the drop-down menu of schools and enter your expected year of graduation
• Save your profile

How do I create a new Works Cited/Bibliography?

• Click on the button in the upper left of the NoodleTools site that says "New Project"
• Name it according to what you are working on 
• Select "MLA"
• Select "Advanced" to make sure you get ALL options
• The Dashboard screen will appear for you to start

What is the Dashboard?

• This is how you organize your research work
• You can see assignments, create to-do lists, submit work, and respond to teacher feedback

How do I create a new source?

• Click "Sources" in the top navigation bar
• Click "Create new citation"
• Fill in the information about your source
  • Gale databases will export directly to NoodleTools
  • From ABC-CLIO databases you can "copy & paste citation"
  • If your source is a book, you can locate the book in WorldCat (via an ISBN number or title/author search) and it will automatically fill in the form with the details needed.
• Always check supplied citations for accuracy
• Click "Submit" to save your new citation

How do I share a project with my teacher?

• On the Dashboard screen, find "Sharing"
• Click "Share with a project inbox"
• In the Project Inbox field, enter the name provided by your teacher
• Enter your name so your teacher can find your work
• Click "Done"
• If you did this correctly, you will see a checkmark in the Shared column of your Projects screen

The Online Writing Lab from Purdue University is a comprehensive site for you to learn more about writing, grammar, mechanics, research, citations, and in-text citation styles. Reference this resource as you write papers, prepare presentations, or complete projects for your classes.

Students and staff will use EHS-specific credentials to log-in to WSJ.com:

Students must have their Eaglecrest ID for book checkout. Books are due back to the library four weeks after checkout date, but may be renewed twice before being returned. Students may check out up to five books at a time. Inter-library loan is available, please see a member of the library staff to have books transferred to EHS from other district libraries.

The EHS library maintains an ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT. While in the library, students are expected to be doing one of the following:

• Reading
• Researching
• Studying
• Doing Homework

In addition, please No Food or Drink, No Cell Phone Conversations, and No​ more than Four Students per table.

The EHS library is a TEACHING LIBRARY, where students and teachers read, write, and research.  Our  certified Teacher Librarians are here to collaborate with teachers on lessons that take place in one of our labs, on the library floor, or in the teacher’s own classroom.

Our Teacher Librarians are not only familiar with Eaglecrest’s curriculum and each PLT’s SMART goals, but we also have knowledge of the print and online resources that could be of use to you and your students.

The Internet Public Library (IPL) features a searchable, subject-categorized directory of authoritative web sites. This annotated collection of high quality Internet resources is selected by IPL staff for their usefulness in providing accurate, factual information on a particular topic or topics.

Library of Congress
The "Teacher Page" of the Library of Congress web site includes links to American Memories' millions of primary sources, as well as The Learning Page, a gateway to lesson plans and activities.
